In 2015, SCE partnered with the University of Minnesota and Youthprise to support the development and delivery of training curriculum and a companion toolkit to strengthen intentionality around social and emotional learning (SEL) skills.
Since 2013, the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Youth Development has been dedicated to understanding social and emotional learning and its contribution to closing the achievement and opportunity gaps. Since launching the initiative, the Center has released studies, hosted a series of public symposia, and developed trainings to support the development of social and emotional learning.
The newly developed free toolkit offers a flexible set of practical tools, templates and activities that can be used with staff and youth to increase intentional practices that support social and emotional learning.
