Organization Description
Launched in 2017 by three suburban mothers – a teacher, a therapist and a strategist, Screen Sanity (formerly START) seeks to drive widespread adoption of key digital health behaviors and build broader awareness about digital health and well-being by providing conversation guides and resources for parents.
Screen Sanity equips parents and community members to be mentors and guides so kids can grow up happy and healthy in an increasingly digital world. They offer a variety of resources for families and organizations—all designed to help you maximize the benefits of screens, but minimize the negative side effects.
Why We Funded
We know that parents feel they are in uncharted territory when it comes to balancing the negative and positive effects of screen time and other digital health aspects. Screen Sanity is bringing resources to parents via unique partnership avenues so they can be more confident and play an active role in digital well-being conversations with their kids.
Impact of SCE Support
SCE’s amplification grant enables Screen Sanity to scale to an expanded audience of parents by building solid operating infrastructure and developing further training curriculum.
